Individual and Project Management System Differences
The differences between the individual management system and the project management system are set out below.
Individual Management System
The individual management system allows users to manage files in their private storage, which by default is only visible to the uploading user. Users can share the files they want with others.
Project Management System
A project management system is a project-specific system where files are managed by the project owner. Files are visible to all authorized users according to the project's folder structures and access rights.
Sample Scenario:
-
In-Project File Upload: A file named "Sample Document.docx" is uploaded to the "Documents" folder within a project named "Lps Project". This file can be viewed by any user with access rights to the relevant folder within the project.
-
Upload to Personal Storage: When the same "Sample Document.docx" file is uploaded to the user's personal storage, it can only be viewed and downloaded by the uploading user. In order for other users to view the file, the file must be shared.
